My Review

I think I’ve mentioned a few times on my blog how much I LOVE The Princess Bride!! It is my all time favorite movie and I absolutely  adore the book! So when I first found out that Cary Elwes was writing a book on the making of the film, I just knew I had to get my hands on it! It actually came out over a year ago, but I’m so glad I was finally able to read it, in fact I got the audiobook which was such a good decision since it’s read by Cary Elwes himself and features the voices of many of the actors from the film! Let me tell you, this book took me on a beautiful journey back to my childhood and made me relive each memory I felt when I first watched the iconic scenes of the film. Such as:

Cary Elwes provided so much insight to the film that I would have never known! I feel like I really got a new perspective on it and appreciate it even more than I did before, which I didn’t think was possible! This film and it’s production was truly extraordinary. The film in general is unlike anything else out there to this day, and the lengths the cast and crew went to in order to make the film possible are commendable! If you are a fan of the film or the book then I definitely recommend you picking up a physical copy or audiobook of As You Wish. My love for The Princess Bride was reenforced in every way! As the story came to a close, I even found myself growing emotional. I have a personal bond with the film and felt even closer to it after learning about it on a deeper level.
