The eagerly-awaited conclusion to the Scarlet trilogy delivers another action-packed and romance-filled adventure.
Scarlet has captured the hearts of readers as well as the heart of Robin Hood, and after ceaseless obstacles and countless threats, readers will finally find out the fate of the Lady Thief.
Imprisoned by Prince John for months, Scarlet finds herself a long way from Nottinghamshire. After a daring escape from the Prince’s clutches, she learns that King Richard’s life is in jeopardy, and Eleanor of Aquitaine demands a service Scarlet can’t refuse: spy for her and help bring Richard home safe. But fate—and her heart—won’t allow her to stay away from Nottinghamshire for long, and together, Scarlet and Rob must stop Prince John from going through with his dark plans for England. They can not rest until he’s stopped, but will their love be enough to save them once and for all?
Lion Heart was everything I wanted it to be and more! After Lady Thief’s heart wrenching ending, I was more than ready to read this last book! I needed to see Scarlet reunited with Rob and I needed to see some evil prince thwarting! This book more than delivered! I was reeling from the content and swooning at the romance throughout!!
my life, especially since I got obsessed with the BBC show 6 years ago or so! The legend is so awesome and so wonderful to read fiction on! This series has always been a beautiful reminder of that love! Scarlet is such a strong heroin! She fights for those that can’t fight for themselves and never backs down from doing what’s right for others! I love her spirit and I feel like she is an inspirational for all women, regardless of what time period!
The romance between Scarlet and Rob is so freaking adorable and beautiful and fantastical! It gets me squeeling like a stupid school girl! There is something so much more romantic about love from that time period, and Gaughen really captures that in this series! There were just so many exquisitely constructed words of love and adoration shared between Scarlet and Rob. In fact there were quite a few times in this book that I had stop reading and look up and just think “wow that was beautifully put,” and that wasn’t just when it was a romantic moment; Gaughen has a unique style of description that made the story all the more alluring.
Everything I needed to see happen in Lion Heart happened and I couldn’t have been more satisfied with it! There was plenty of high suspense, and all loose ends were tied up. Though I didn’t get much of an ending fight scene that I was expecting, I was still thoroughly pleased with the turn of events! I am definitely sad to have concluded such a beloved series! It has most certainly made it on to my top favorites list! If you are a Robin Hood fan or have already begun this series, I would most definitely recommend you finish this series!!
