There’s something about the new guy at Crossroads High…
Most sixteen-year-olds have friends. Aden Stone has four human souls living inside him:
One can time travel.
One can raise the dead.
One can possess another human.
One can tell the future.
Everyone thinks he’s crazy, which is why he’s spent his entire life shuffled between mental institutions and juvie. All of that is about to change, however. For months Aden has been having visions of a beautiful girl—a girl who carries centuries-old secrets. A girl who will either save him or destroy him.
Together they’ll enter a dark world of intrigue and danger… but not everyone will come out alive.
I know I’ve said this about other books, but Intertwined is seriously unlike anything I’ve ever read!! So much paranormal in this book, so many questions and plenty of awesome twists! I am a huge fan of Gena Showalter and was more than excited to finally start reading her Intertwined series! I find myself enjoying her young adult books more than her Adult genres actually.
Aden is not your typical 16 year old guy, his head is filled with not just his thoughts but the thoughts and very souls of four other beings! Beings he has no idea how arrived! So to put it simply, his life is complicated…it soon becomes even more confusing when he meets not one but two unusual girls that start unraveling the mysteries of his existence and the existence of the strange creatures living among him.
The romance in Intertwined had me so confused at certain points, that I didn’t know who each character would end up with! However, as events played out, couples came together and two adorable romances formed between the main characters. It was definitely a new experience for me to read about two relationships from different POVs in one book. I found it refreshing and thought it added a quicker pace to the story overall. Despite the quickened pace of the content, not a whole lot of stuff happened in this book. I mean don’t get me wrong, there were some key events that occurred, but this first book was definitely all about the set up for whats to come! Of course that didn’t prevent me from enjoying the story overall and left me satisfied and ready for more! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Aden and his friends! Book two is titled Unraveled!
You can buy Intertwined on Amazon here or anywhere else that sells books!
