So once again A Place Beyond picked up right where Stone of Destiny left off. Recap: Allison’s plan to capture Aiofe failed and Liam fell to his death in the process.
A Place Beyond set up a plot twist almost instantly and had me intrigued from the start. Since this was the last book, I knew it was finally going to come to a head. The romance between Allison and Ethan definitely sped up in this book, which was oh so satisfying! The overall plot was fast paced as well, and new information regarding Aiofe was revealed that turned everything around.
When the story hit its apex, I have to admit, I was expecting some kind of magical battle of the fey….but what happened was far from it. Definitely not what I would have thought would happen, but the way things resolved had me pleased with the final conclusion. Lets just say Aiofe got what was coming to her! I also felt like there was a whole lot of buildup for the final head-to-head, and it was over before it even started. It could have been a little more drawn out, if only for dramatic effect… just my opinion. However, the romantic conclusion between everyone was beautiful and the story had an adorable epilogue.
I would definitely recommend you complete The Danaan Trilogy and read A Place Beyond. Buy it on Amazon here!
