Allison thought it was crazy enough when she found out her father, Liam, wasn’t entirely human. But now she has to join his magical allies to unravel his former mistress’s plans. Aoife wants to keep Allison’s parents apart forever.
Despite Allison’s efforts to keep Ethan, the only guy she’s ever cared about, out of this supernatural mess, fate keeps throwing him back into the mix.
Will Allison be able to find the amulet that holds the enchantment Aoife placed on Liam and destroy it? Are Ethan’ s feelings for Allison strong enough to endure the magic of the Tuatha De Danaan?
Well Stone of Destiny picked up right about where The Forgotten Ones left off. Recap: Aiofe is still loose, Ethan’s acting weird, and Allison’s parents are no closer to being together.
This book got right down to business right away, which was a very good thing. Laura Howard did not waste time dragging out the romantic conflict which was super satisfying for my romantic reader needs! Things between Ethan and Allison took a beautiful turn and it was absolutely lovely! Ethan handled the whole “fairy thing” almost a little too well, but at least he was totally supportive/protective of Allison and things went pretty smoothly for the two of them.
Due to desperate situations, Allison is forced to return back to Tir na n’og to face off against Aiofe once and for all! Unfortunately, taking her out is much easier said than done, and things don’t go according to plan. The ending was pretty intense and I definitely enjoyed it, but it felt like the conflict ended before it really got started. There could have been more time spent on it overall. There wasn’t as much plot movement as I was hoping there would be, though I will say there was more in book two than in book one and it had a faster pace throughout. Either way, it still felt like it was all build up for book three, which I have started and am already really liking!
I would definitely recommend you continue your journey with The Danaan Trilogy and read Stone of Destiny!
